Rediscover Two Lane Travel
There was a time when travelers, families, and car enthusiasts hopped into their cars and hit the open road. In the era before interstates, travel was along two-lane highways and city streets, where speeds were slower, businesses lined the roads, and access was a simple turn away. These experiences, though changed, still exist and are waiting for travelers and adventurers to come and explore.

About Day 88
Anemoia. Defined as “nostalgia for a time you’ve never known,” it is a concept with which we very much identify, as our travels are most often in search of remnants of the time when driving was one of our country’s favorite pastimes.
We love to drive the two-lane highways and imagine road trips before the interstates and chain hotels and restaurants, seeking the remnants of the time when America’s greatest love was the car and road trips were a way of life, experiencing Americana, Mid-Century Modern architecture, roadside diners, kitschy curio shops, tourist traps and more! This desire to explore led to the creation of Day 88.
